The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (Unicef) Indonesia in its 2012 Annual Report said as many as 2.3 million or about 42% of children aged 7-15 years in Indonesia have dropped out of school, or have never even tasted the joy of sitting in school.
Then, who is responsible for the state of education in Indonesia?
The state, of course and including us as a society. The role of society also greatly determines whether a child gets education or not.
Then what is the solution?
One solution is that every one of us (the community) who has the ability in assets can set aside a portion for children's education in Indonesia, by entrusting it through trusted institutions, and it will be distributed to children who are threatened with dropping out of school.
Who is that institution?
Is the Community Service Synergy (SPM) Sinergi Foundation (SF), through the School for All (SUS) education program, provides assistance to hundreds of children who are threatened with dropping out of school each year in the form of school admission fees.
The SUS program has been running since 2010 and to date, it has helped around 2,500 Indonesian children who are threatened with dropping out of school, from Sabang to Merauke. Therefore, SPM opens opportunities for Mr and Mrs to participate in helping Indonesian education with giving donate.
